Our Chairman Message

Muhammad Yousuf Laghari, affectionately known as Ma’ma Yousuf, hails from Mirpurkhas and completed his LLB from Sindh University in 1967. He served as President of the Sindh University Students’ Union, leading significant protests in 1967. Known for his progressive and nationalist ideologies, he defended political activists during the Zia era and founded the Sindh Democrats Group in the nineties. He held prominent positions, including Dean at Sindh University’s Law faculty and Advocate General of Sindh. Laghari is a founding member of Pakistan’s Human Rights Commission and continues to be active in legal practice and activism.
